Founder / Director
I relocated to North Carolina from New Hampshire in 2010 after a house fire tragically destroyed my home and animal rescue. My passion for animals has been a lifelong calling, deeply rooted in my family’s legacy of animal advocacy. Growing up, I spent countless days on my grandmother’s farm, where I developed a profound love for animals through horseback riding and caring for farm animals. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have earned a certification in Animal Search and Rescue (ASAR) and played an active role in assisting Pender County Animal Shelter during Hurricane Florence. I am also certified in canine and feline CPR, ensuring I can provide critical care when needed. Outside of my work with animals, I enjoy traveling, camping, and spending quality time with my family.

Volunteer and Maintenance/Farm
Chris has been a dedicated supporter of Hamilton’s Healing Hearts for several years. In August, he generously purchased and installed new insulation in the kennel ceiling. After spending time working at the rescue, he felt compelled to do even more. Today, Chris plays a vital role in maintaining both the farm and kennel, while also assisting with adoption events and animal transportation. Originally from Arkansas, Chris is a U.S. Navy veteran who enlisted in 2000 and was honorably discharged in 2005. He now works full-time with Veteran Affairs in Onslow County. At home, he shares his life with a beloved dog and cat. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing in southeastern North Carolina. We are incredibly grateful to have Chris as part of our team!
